Rick Lara is an 11 year Air Force Veteran. An Aircrew Flight Equipment technician, he was stationed at McGuire, Osan, Moody, and Nellis. He is now shifting his focus on helping veterans and wants to use his passion for poetry to help be the voice of the voiceless.

A dedicated team of AMVETS from the Department of California will head out across our great state to raise awareness and highlight local resources to reduce stigma and prevent Veteran suicide. AMVETS ONE: Golden State Tour 2024 will be traveling to seven locations throughout California to connect with other Veteran service organizations and our community to share our mission: Leaving No Veteran Behind. Please join us in saving lives by protecting those who protect us.
