Command Sergeant Major (Retired) Leona Wheeler, Executive Director, has had a distinguished military career marked by ongoing service and promotion. She has had intensive training and experience in Operations, including a tour of Iraq from September 2005 to September 2006. Sergeant Major Wheeler’s awards are too numerous to list here, and include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, and Meritorious Service Medal and one Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster. She is a graduate of Webster University and holds a Masters Associate Degree in Management and Bachelor of Arts Individual Studies (Minor Business) from Columbia College. She is a member of the Sergeant major Associations of California, Enlisted Associations of the United States Army, Veterans of Foreign War and AMVETS life member.
