
Karina Guzman, Program Manager, holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and has completed specialized studies in Nonprofit Management through the University of California, Irvine.
Since joining AMVETS in June 2012 as an Assistant Store Manager at the Long Beach thrift store, Karina has dedicated her career to serving Veterans and strengthening the organization’s mission. In 2013, she joined the AMVETS Welcome Home Program, where she has played a pivotal role in expanding community partnerships and coordinating the collection, distribution, and delivery of essential furniture, appliances, and household goods to Veterans transitioning from homelessness into permanent housing through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development–Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program.
Throughout her tenure, Karina has personally overseen hundreds of Welcome Home deliveries, helping transform empty residences into safe, comfortable homes where Veterans can begin rebuilding their lives. Her expertise in program operations, logistics, and community collaboration has been instrumental in the continued growth and statewide impact of the Welcome Home Program.
Karina is a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success and a proud AMVETS Life Member, reflecting her enduring commitment to leadership, service, and improving the lives of California Veterans.
